Recognizing Points of Stability in your Life
Recognizing Points of Stability in your Life
Regardless of your problem solving technique or approach, there is a great perspective you can put on any area of difficulty in your own life. Whether it is a project, problem or practice; a great addition to your self-development reportior is recognizing points of stability in any area worthy of development.
Take a moment to create in your own mind a scenario where what you are aiming to achieve seems like a complex jumble of puzzling or complicated challenges. Some people might envision a career, others may create overwhelming thoughts of a relationship or family crisis. Your situation seems complex, muddled, too difficult or unsolvable. Without even recognizing your process of crisis aversion or problem solving, you are most likely finding yourself completely in over your head!
I like to call this; “The Rubik’s Effect”.
Why?
Because a vast majority of people will look at a puzzle cube and see a jumble of colors and limitations! When asked to theorize the solution to the cube, they run into even more potential problems, difficulties and traps! Before they have even begun to see themselves completing the problem in front of them, they are already giving up - or - settling for a lesser accomplishment, maybe they will settle for one face of the cube being completed before sitting it down.
There are other people who naturally have the ability to recognize points of stability in the equation. These people recognize that the puzzle cube is not six completely dynamic sides, nor are complex and interconnected shifting algorithmic movements required to complete the goal of all faces being the same color. In this scenario, the puzzle cube, the points of stability rely on the fact that all six faces are already allocated for which color they will be. The central piece of each face is unchanging and by systematically aligning the remaining facets of the cube into place, the puzzle can be solved very efficiently.
This introduces a new perspective that you can apply to many of your personal problem solving scenarios. When trying to support your own achievements, you can first look for points of understanding, reference or common ground to guide your path - regardless of it’s origin or destination.
I personally apply this to an my own journey through self-development. I am often faced with situations where I see an outcome which appears to be in the direction of my passion and focus, but I cannot escape integral decision of how to get to that place! The decision is whether to make the distance on my own, without any outside influence except for my own interpretation of the available knowledge in my own environment - or - to design my journey based on the learning, knowledge and valuable wisdom of another who has already arrived at my destination. For many of you this may seem like an easy decision, but for me it is nearly one of the most complex and paralyzing decision I face every day.
My incentive for answering this question is illustrated by the satisfaction of completing a puzzle cube. While the outcome of the puzzle is predefined, my strategy is enhanced and developed so that on completing the puzzle, the sense of accomplishment is real. If I was to attempt the cube without the outside influence created by the design of the very puzzle, I would never finish it at all!
My own recognition of points of stability which I can add to my own self-development strategy is what helps me to obtain success, success which leads to a better lifestyle.
This is here to enhance your approach to inspired living.
